I was actually hoping for a lot better story, after House of Hades. It could not match the standards of the previous book. It is not a total disappointment though. It made me happy that Nico is starting to be with people more and that he and Reyna had their own mark in the story. But the book seemed to be only about Jason, Piper, and Leo which was not very satisfying. Percy and Annabeth had the least space in the story and seemed pretty weak and useless within the 'heroic saving' of the main three. Towards the end, Percy and Annabeth were more like Teenage couple grinning, kissing and always getting captured by giants 'helplessly', and are not the heroes who saved the world every summer. Hazel and Frank were also not given the importance they deserved. Not finding your favorite heroes to be up their normal standards is indeed very depressing. But otherwise, the book was pretty fine
