A very interesting and lively story with vivid depictions of the author's childhood memories. When I read this book, I felt as if I could see my own country's past images that I only know about through my grandparents' stories - water buffaloes, vast paddy fields, rivers with plentiful creatures, pristine forests and the people's daily life with nature. Highly recommend for the naturally curious and those that are interested in learning about other cultures.
