I love a good metaphor. Being a poet myself I can appreciate the use of them to illustrate something in an abstract way. But the author uses metaphor in a way that is next to impossible for the reader to understand what he is trying to get at. Especially when more than one metaphor is used at a time, and the author will use several of them, all mixed up, in each entry. It is hard to make sense of them.
And, as other reviewers have mentioned, there is a sad, depressed undertone throughout. Not very inspiring.
If you really want a spiritual awakening book, read the Power of Now. And leave this aside.
