Saltburn is one of the very best films I have watched for several years. There is so much to like and enjoy whilst watching this entertaining film, I struggle to find criticism. So visually stunning, enticing, well acted, funny, dark captivating storyline. Such a breathe of fresh air! Compare it to most films made since the start of the pandemic, this film is in a class of it's own. "Oh, but I didn't like the menstrual scene, oh gosh, how disgusting......and the grave scene, I just had to look away" The so called "shock" scenes were not there for shock but to develop impact of how we feel about the character as the film progressed. The inclusion of the scenes that so many other reviewers felt unnecessary were anything but. This film is not mainstream enough to be a big blockbuster, the reviews demonstrate that it is not to everyone's taste (if you'll excuse the pun!). However, I thought it deserved 5 stars for 127 minutes of magic!
