One of the worst d-day scenes I’ve ever seen. With two Higgins boats landing to unload the whole of the American army (apart from the single c47 that dropped the whole airborne in daylight without any flak). The Americans then proceeded to take Normandy without any help from any other Allies (who actually did 75% of the work) in a single day. They do have help from the odd buffalo and p51 though (neither of which would actually be there) Typical American fairy tale of how they came to the rescue of Europe and defeated Germany without any help from anyone else. The German mixture of uniforms was laughably bad. With ss heer and Luftwaffe fighting along side each other in the same unit. I even saw a Luftwaffe medic wearing a Crete cuff title, a paratroopers badge and an army close combat badge on a royal blue uniform. What was he doing in a bunker on a Normandy beach. So bad it was funny rather than informative
