Don’t waste your time. As an avid A24 fan, I find it hard to believe they’d tarnish their stellar reputation as THE up-and-coming production company with such a lukewarm film. Not only was there 0 climax, but I felt entirely disengaged the whole time. The only redeeming quality may have been the “crazy religious” aspect of the film…had they spent a millisecond developing that foundation. My boyfriend left the theater before it even ended! As Tyra Banks would say, “It is so bad, I want to give you a zero, but that's not possible, so I give you a one."
