Wow, way to completely ignore the book. Ridiculous abomination of a movie. The photo realistic animation is horrible, the only way that might have been acceptable would be to have it have been hand drawn in the style of the books art, but the CGI was downright creepy

This movie pretends to be addressing racism, in reality it perpetuates “otherism”

Not sure what made me keep watching this. The action scenes were good, but the writing and dialogue were not. Super slow pace— it could have been a 2.5 hour movie and just cut all the fat. Too many “it feels like something is going to happen but nothing happens” scenes. Lots of beautiful Colombian culture montages that served no purpose for the story…we get it, they’re in Columbia. Barely a likable character at any point in their arc. I think I watched all of it just hoping there was some payoff and point to the whole thing…nope.

Great movie. Funny, good acting, clever writing
