Gross. Don't watch if you got kids (I don't, and I regret watching even partially). Lingers too much on the gruesome details of the crimes, much more than needed to establish mindset. I was interested to learn about the investigation, but it was more like a sick replay through Fish's eyes, and no amount of that can make one (a relatively 'normal' one) even remotely understand what was going on in his broken mind. Maybe I didn't "get" what the director was trying to convey and potentially missed an enlightening conclusion (I didn't watch the whole thing) but for what I learned about the case, it wasn't worth the nauseating account of what he did.
