Beautifully acted. I cannot help but feel the people who are giving it such poor rating truly understand that this film did not set out to be as much as a horror movie as a film documenting how easily you can be manipulated into a cult. Our brains are so set on these types of movies having to be a slasher when it’s so unneeded. If by the end you agreed with Dani and sympathized with her more than Christian, it shows how easily you yourself could be roped into a cult like this. The movie never points to a right or wrong, but gives you the freedom to decide whether it’s right of wrong. Overall a brilliant movie that shows the insane amount of skill of Ari Aster.
