Started off strong, but 2 hours in and I literally lost the plot. I pressed rewind, pause and fast-forward so many times.. that I forgot what tense I lived in. What the heck Chris?! I was looking for something complex, but not this complex.. And who is that child this woman kept going on about? a bit of character attachment would'nt have harmed. A better script and more logic to the plot would also have helped. 4 stars because the parts that were good, were very good, acting was 5 star and cinematography was excellent, despite the terrible sound. Still your fan, even though this one didn't quite cut the 5 star. Even when I did get it in the end, there are just too many flaws to sustain the concept.. but hey, that's Hollywood.

12 years on and still one of my favourites. Gripping storyline, a great mix of depth and lightheartedness; and whoever came up with the characters is an absolute genius. This movie will get you to think about how special the ordinary things in life are: things like the people you meet (even the weird ones); the art of falling in and out of love; and the bizzare outcome of coincidence. Time, space and relationships is everything. If life is a stage, then this movie is surely one of its plays.

Watching this movie is the most pain inflicting torture your wife can put you through. I fell asleep, woke up.. fell asleep again, and woke up.. and the singing was still going strong. I was ready to give up a kidney to stop watching it.

Average movie. If you are watching this in recent years, the 90's classical background music that blasts in almost every scene will annoy you to death and make you wonder when Celine Dion is going to sing. Some of the acting is also of poor quality

Still funny. Only the 1st half though. 2nd half felt a bit rushed and the plot did not quite add up - how did Odusuwa and Banky know that both their friend/brother didn't want to get married, yet didn't say (By the way Banky's acting is still horrendous in this one- that boy should stick to music). As always great performance from Sola Sobowale... them tears at the table were real.. Director - please pay your extras when you are shooting oversees next time so you dont get passerbys staring into the camera and avoiding it... and Bahamas is a different place to Dubai.

Cheese on Toast Bunch of overly good looking people that cannot act... and that bait intro .. got me vex from the beginning .. didn't give the rest of the movie a chance. Give the ugly actors that can actually act some chance next time

Average movie. the progress cinematography is making in Nollywood is miles apart from the progress being made in acting and screenplay. I mean they are using drones, cranes and some powerful lens cameras... the Actors need to step up and the scripts need to be tighter. Too many actors are always playing the overly dramatic parts.. cos it's the easiest form of acting.. but its chaotic as most times people are just being themselves rather than playing a role...less is more. this is not to take credit away from some of the actors who did well in this movie like: Chioma Omeruah... Falz Linda Ejiofor In relation to the script I dont believe it is always being followed, if it is then there were errors and lacks punchlines, emotions and thought... I mean how could chief daddy be telling his son.." remember our last conversation about peace" after his death.. how did he know that was going to be his last conversation? Aside that the choice of characters was well selected, the movie potrayed the good and bad of the Nigerian culture with all honesty.. the story line was ok though the conclusion could have been better

With just 8 casts (doing the talking) in the entire movie, it shows that you don't need to blow up cars and buildings to entertain; with a great script, moving storyline and powerful acting you can grip an audience for hours. The dialogues felt so real and genuine that I thought was in the scenes sharing a bottle with Denzel and Bono and was about my turn to drop the next joke. The movie really defines how everyday life is really more than just everyday life.. the struggles to change the present are exhausted by actions in the past.. the future then becomes a rat race wheel that traps in innocent generations. Standing ovay for Denzel and Viola' acting.
