Luther is deliciously dark, my favourite kind of viewing and the current season doesn't disappoint, especially with the return of Alice,your everyday likeable psychopath. The earlier seasons were favourite viewing but as time has gone on there are a few challengers that have surpassed it. The scandi crime drama "The Bridge" was complete binge worthy genius but lately, as with everyone else, it seems, Killing Eve has taken the crown. Still looking forward to the season finale of Luther tonight when I sense Alice will deal out her style of retribution. If you like your crime dramas unflinchingly dark then it's still great viewing. Yes there is some suspension of belief but at the end of the day it's entertainment not a documentary.
