Wow.
Always by Morris Gleitzman was the conclusion I and many others had been waiting to be released for a long time. Finally the stunning ending to an amazing book series has been written. This book kept me turning page after page after page. The main characters are Wassim and Felix, and it was nice to have another book from Felix's perspective, whilst in Now it was from Zelda's. The book centers around a young boy named Wassim, who's family has suffered greatly. I won't delve too much into the plot here, as I find it great to discover what happens myself. Too say the least without spoiling too much, we get to see some characters from throughout the series one last time. Of course, as with any book, there was some unfortunate downsides and in my opinion, some missed opportunities. I found the plot a little bit hard to understand but eventually if you stick with the book it will become a lot easier to understand. I do feel slightly let down, as I really wanted to see some characters from other books (in my opinion, Dodie from the orphanage in Once), but overall great book and highly recommend. The ending especially left me with a tear in my eye, thinking of all the things Felix has lived through, and the pain he has experienced. It was a satisfying conclusion in my opinion. For people looking to read the series, the order is Once, Then, After, Soon, Maybe, Now and finally Always.
