I like the sentiment and the gesture of the show, however there’s two things I don’t care for – one is that the show is racist. Only 13% of Americans are African-American yet 100% of the benefactors in the show, the celebrities, are African-American. I’m sure there’s other celebrities of other races that are just as generous. The other thing I don’t care for is that they don’t consult with the homeowners – what if the homeowner’s of the one for tonight’s show hated the color blue? Or doesn’t like a gas stove- and she never had one before and now she needs to learn to cook on a gas stove... More consideration should be done with consulting with the actual homeowners I think. I hope there’s more diversity in future shows.

Although somewhat entertaining, the constant squabbling and fighting is annoying. And also, Amy’s design… Does she not know any color but brown? It is so outdated! It’s design from the 90s at best and is so dull and dark and boring. I realize the show is dated and it probably at least 5 to 10 years old but her design goes back 20 years – I hope she gets into present time with her design color palette ~

This is a difficult subject and the fact that it's based on a true story and true characters makes it even also more difficult to watch because you know it's true. But, it is so compelling and as human beings on planet earth it's imperative we're all aware of this horrific situation going on. This one person in the film made a difference which is my take away from this film – it's a horrific situation but some thing can be done about it.
