A very thorough presentation and explanation of the research data that Dr Shanna Swan has engaged with. Quite a sobering reveal of the state of the art around domestic plastics usage. The findings are very concerning and are expertly presented in an easily accessible way. (Thanks to her co-author. )
More worrying is the research that remains to be done in parallel spheres that can link micro-plastic ingestion to the human condition, and especially to the surging global incidence of various cancers, and their effects in heart disease. Regrettably, this work is unlikely to be sponsored by the big plastic companies, but importantly needs to be done.
