Set in18th century London, Harlots follows a number of characters from various classes and lifestyles, from gentry, soapbox preachers, to children begging on street corners. Largely centered around the red light district of London, and in the "gentleman's club" type houses that catered to aristocrats and politicians.
There is love, rivalries, comedy, sex, murder, and every other thing in between.
I adore this show. The costuming is absolutely amazing, they really went all out.
Very rarely can a period piece pull off modern music. Much like A Knight's Tale integrated it into the era, it's just perfectly suited.
The actors are a wide variety, meaning the show is intersectional, including LGBT+ characters, and POC.
