He is SO bad. He cares not a word what his guests say because he simply ignores what they're saying and pontificates on issues that were not even raised. He is equally terrible on other shows like MJ (the other day, he claimed that he "alone" was solicited by a celebrity...so pompous). He has absolutely no affable personality and he's an angry old man who simpy wants to retain relevance. I HAVE to watch him because I watch MJ every weekday. But, avoid this man's show because you'll only learn that he likes to talk about his own ideas. BTW: Like Cross, he only has guests of color, as if people who are white can't provide expertise. Get the slot filled by Ali!

I wish I could give ZERO stars. This is like the most fraudulent "series" (other than the Queen of Versailles, ironically enough) on Netflix. I mean the guy is clearly gay if you have the ability to hear and see. His mannerisms scream gay and the girl who put the restraining order on him is pretty much mute. I find his need to make money off his "gay-ness" a profound insult to the other gay people who simply were tossed into the street and assaulted. I find the extras who surround him as phony as the "star" is. I"m glad I have Ozark on Netflix because if this was the only series, I'd be asking for my money back! #avoidthefraud #whiteprivilege

Um, first her hair! I mean my spouse is mixed race and I understand the "return" to the Black/Brown hair of the 1960s. But, really: Every week is so disheveled that I know it's not groomed. Second, the echo that viewers hear is because she's obviously at home. The background is fraudulent, of course, and it's apparent that the sound is not aligned with studio quality. Third, why is she wearing summer clothes (sleeveless) in February? So, here's my look at the whole thing: Idk. MSNBC can't figure out what to do with their lineups: Hayes, Maddow, O'Donnell, and Ruhle! They're all white so having people of color besides the terrible Joy Reid is critical for, well, the bottom line. Ali is great, though he should have been given the 11th Hour and not the plastic surgery experiment. Melvin is very very good! Gibson left because he knew that a local (LOCAL!) station was "more productive" for him. Yeah, right. Sure. I can't stand Joe and Ari. MIka is fantastic. Ayman is painful to watch. Rev Al is HORRIBLE in terms of his tenor, cadence, and overall nonverbal communication (he's a train wreck to watch on MJ in the morning). He's so self-righteous, too (He said the other day that he "alone" was solicited by a celebrity; so pompous). And, this Zarina is equally bad. The Cross woman is terrible. The other bloviating Joshua Johnson (HE"S SO BAD) just needs to go back to teaching. The station needs some clarity and they just shove people in to fill the time. In the meantime, viewers like me have caused numbers to tank in many of these shows because of the problems identified above.

REVIEW AS OF 2/15/22 Joe's communication approach/style: He yells, stream of consciousness without a point, guest like Eugene Robinson brings up a good point that Joe didn't think about. Joe highlights that point and hijacks it as if it's his own. Joe's obsession with sports should result in him being on ESPN but the network knows he's not all that bright. Now, onto the review: The "experts" are pretty good (too much of the Princeton professor who blabs and definitely the bad anchor from Way Too Early..the station must know his show is on the brink because they are slowly bringing him on to MJ too much). Mika is the answer. She's smart, gracious, and kind--the qualities that I rarely see in others on the show. Today, she was FANTASTIC taking on the whack job GOP...when Joe "allowed" her. LOVE HER PASSION AND INSIGHTS ("The GOP is floating on the very bottom and feeding on it"). She looks at her cell phone too much but wow, she is just the best one on there. BUT: QUIT PATRONIZING HER, JOE! Your insights are sometimes cliche but at least she's informed and while she's not a "simple country lawyer" (that got old the first time you said that) she is clearly smart! At least she's informed. And do you EVER look at the reruns of your show? Despite many of your points being valid, your yelling and pontificating does not make them any more persuasive. I know you want good TV but maybe your viewers want more on screen integrity. Willie is good, but he gets sucked into the sports chat with the boys way too much. In the end, the show is 100 million times better than its horrifying lead in show. I will continue to watch it but just want Joe to calm down, be less petty and sports-centered, and get guests like Mara and Claire and Helene to appear more often. Get rid of the Princeton guy and put on the Civil Rights attorney you had on. He's great and doesn't mug for the camera like the Princeton guy. I would move this to 4 stars but the guests and ongoing diatribes by Joe keep it at the Meh level.
