Really disappointed with this book after absolutely loving the others! The millennium series really got me back into reading fiction after not bothering for years. The writing was really confusing and vague at times which made it difficult to know what was going on. There is also a bizarre addition of some of the characters having conversations with other people in their heads which makes no sense when this never happened in the previous books. The only reason I give it a 2 is because I did like Svala as a character, but I agree with the other reviews that Lisbeth and Mikael’s characters are barely recognisable in this book. If you haven’t read this book yet I would recommend not bothering, quit while you’re ahead and allow the last book to be the last thing you remember of this series!
