I remember watching Blade Runner 2049 in late 2017, not knowing much about filmmaking, cinematography or sound design. My favorite movie then was Avengers (hah) and this movie essentially opened up the doors for my tastes today. 2049 is a brilliant display of technical brilliance, it's methodical, intricate, a fully immersive cinematic experience. It's my 2001: A Space Odyssey, it changed how I viewed film, film was no longer just entertainment but art. It's a must-watch for sure
