I wasn't too sure what the movie would be like, but was drawn to the images of a Mosquito falling from the sky in a snippet that I saw. A strange movie, with moments of childhood innocence and interrogation brutality all in the same mix. Couple that up with a good story and some amazing acting from the young cast and a feeling of impending horror about to unfold really kept me glued to my seat. The ending is tragic, and I am glad that they showed the names of those innocents that were killed. War is hell, and when it is in flickering black and white it just does not seem real. This story does not have that grayscale buffer, its all in colour and no punches are pulled. The haunted look of little Eva as she walks out of the building says it all though. It may not be a mainstream production but it is an excellent watch but definitely not for children.

There were lots of great moments in the show, but for me the hardest part was the long gap between the 2 seasons. I could not remember anything from when I had seen the first. But, I really enjoyed it a lot as I am a fan of high tech space opera and really stunning spacecraft. There was lots for me to enjoy but to be honest this is not going to be everybody's cup of tea. You need to have seen the first season to understand the 2nd, and you need lots of patience because at times it drags. Special mention must go to Samuel Anderson (William) for an amazing performance, his cool level headed demeanor was very re-assuring, and I hope that they use him as a role model for a future AI. I am tempted to rewatch the first season now to fill in some gaps in my understanding of the 2nd, and then I may revisit this quick review.
