Duckily ART

It was enjoyable but there was a LOT of plot holes and moments where I wanted to scream at the characters that they were being stupid. Not even during the times when characters were supposed to be stupid. The fact that they didn't all get down immediately after the first kill for one. The fact that the main character snuck out, was able to get to the cars and kill the ONLY GUY watching them?? But didn't go back and just get everyone into the car to drive away??? The coast was clear??? Like they didn't find his body until like an hour later. They had a massive window to escape. The fact that they kept splitting up instead of staying in pairs. The fact that no one shut and locked the door after the one girl was shot opening it. They just let the guys in?? The guys were also immensely stupid. Everyone in this movie was stupid. Most of the characters were extremely unlikeable. I only found myself liking the first two girls to die(bride and the girl upstairs) and the blonde one and the one with braids. So 4/8 girls. The rest were so unlikeable. The main character was also incredibly unlikeable. She escalated situations non stop for no reason? Like egging three dudes on in a store in the middle of nowhere. That could have gone horribly. Not pressing for what the guys wanted in the first place. She's a trained soldier she should know about what to say in situations like that. About how to appeal to empathy via giving names and info like 'i have a child' which sounds a bit dangerous but it makes people less likely to just kill you if they know you a bit more. Even lying about it. They didn't even ask once what the guys were looking for. And the guys? Also stupid. Why would they kill two of them before even trying to bargain?? Like that's a good way to get them even more pissed off. Also yes believe the two random dudes have an entire harem of women and a stripper because that makes sense. Near everyone in this movie was stupid.

While the characters are cute they're all very shallow. Kudo and Miyu fell in love all too fast. You're telling me she was the only one who was timid out of all his brides? There is nothing really special about Miyu except for her background. She's not super kind. She has no interests or passions. She's an incredibly boring character. There's nothing about her that would make someone cold and calculated such as Kuda fall for her so damn fast. And Kudo is JUST as awful. I may only be on episode seven but we've yet to see or even get a slight glimpse at his background or why he behaved like he does. He's also insanely powerful to the point where there's NO suspense. He's boring. A walking trope of strong cold guy goes soft for his girl. That's it. That's his entire character. Miyu also moved on way too fast from one love to another. None of this makes any sense. The characters are so shallow. The sister shows no interest in anything but one upping her sister. Which is stupid considering her sisters NEVER been competition for her. Realistically she wouldn't even look in her sisters way let alone go through the effort to bully her. The only way I could see her doing what she does is if somehow miyu had something she didn't. But she didn't know miyu was an usuba. And if she could lay such a golden egg you'd think her father would have been more caring to get his future grandchild on his side. Literally none of these characters motives make any sense other than 'lets bully the main character cause she needs a tragic backstory' It's awful. Singlehandedly one of the worst anime and stories I've watched. The only thing it has going right now is it's characters designs being pretty. I have no idea how it has a 4.7.

Wasn't able to get through it. Don't get me wrong, I love the trans and gay rep is glorious. But the second this kid turned boy crazy and ignored their dog I was not in for it. They went and had to make their gay trans character a jerk. Like a big one too. And the episode hardly had the right kind of closure to the incident and it doesn't change, they remain just as boy crazy. I really didn't like it. I feel like a lot of people are overlooking this shows vast flaws because of the representation :/
