START MAKING ART

It's very - very - hard to believe that the multiple-star reviews are anything but family and friends of the cast and crew. This is a surrealy terrible film. like... what? Starting with the script, which feels like it was written by children with a vague idea of plot and facts, to the acting, which just well , again, what? ..which all reflects on the directing that got nothing out of these actors... I just. Yeah. No. Terrible.

Bait and switch of the most disappointing kind. Wow. The CGI is fine, but ... meh. who cares, compared to the original studio ghibli works, this is like plastic compared to a bronze or stone or metal sculpture. But the worst part is the adaption of the story, the "plot", the writing. omg. I have never watched a movie with such a whiplash ending where I was like huh, it's over? but we haven't even really gotten to the meat of it yet? But apparently we had. oof. This is just sad, and I fear just another example of the complete lack of creativity and care for quality that is now the norm.
