As a newcomer to this world of fantasy I did not get confused at all. I think the writing is as clear as it can be considering how complex it all is. While it's still utterly captivating. I binge watched the series in 2 days and it's the best thing on Netflix in 2019. I'm devastated season 2 is not out till 2021 but will get into the books I think.
