Amazing story with well ensembled cast, direction and screenplay.The issues of teenagers raised are relatable. But the treatment could be been more realistic and mature and even some comment should be been made over drugs and alcohol abuse rather than encouraging it regularly throughout the series . But all in all the series is entertaining showing the hardships of teenagers effectively and in a moving way that keeps u engrossed and leaving u to wait for season 2

Ek ladki ko dekha to aisa laga directed by Shelly dhar written by ghazal dhaliwal , produced by vidhu vinod chopra films and the first mainstream film to portray an lgbt story is an impactful , brave and sincere film. Set up in the backdrop of small village moga ,Punjab elkdtal with its layered narrative ,well ensembled cast , clutch of good music ,intelligent writing ,good comedy , well nuanced characters carrying a very bold and strong message without making the audiences feeling uncomfortable or compromising with entertainment is a movie that has the potential to touch upon the hearts of audiences and stays with u even after leaving the hall. The strength of the movie lies in its strong performance by all the actor's . The first half of the film is very entertaining n has plenty of laughter moments with impeccable comedy timing of juhi chawla , biji and seema pahwa , charm of rajkumar rao ,sincere performance from sonam kapoor , confusion n suspense build up engageges the viewers and makes the story entertaining( though the suspense was evident from trailer which may test the audience's patience if they ve seen it) .But it is cleverly build for others. Then ever after the secret is revealed it is handled so sincerely and the drama unfolds so beautifully with some very good scenes especially the flash backs in Sweety's past that makes us root for the character .special applaud to anil kapoor who was mind blowing in emotional scenes and emoted the confusion very well especially in the drama that unfolds in the climax keeps the viewer on the edge of his seat Story of the film works at multiple levels it not only talks about acceptance to lgbt love but also blended the theme of choosing the profession we want, inter religion marriages , choosing to live after divorce the music of the film is also nice with elkdtal new version , chiitiye, ishq mittha worth mention Though it has its flaws that it could ve been smaller, more crisp , some really heart wrenching dialogues and conversations that can move the audience more , and even sonam kapoor could have delieved a better performance and the movie's suspense should not have been revealed in the trailer My rating 3.8/5
