This is the best period drama I've ever watched!! It's not soapy or cute. In fact, it throws philosophical bombs straight at your face-basically, it's an attac. It's also a test of your own patience. Think of it as an educative luxurious drama after which you would have learnt a thing or two about humility and duty.
