I personally love this show, sure, the very first episode was a little bit goofier than what I usually go for, but the show just gets better and better after it. I love the characters in it, in this show the turtles really feel like actual teenager brothers and they're all amazingly individual, they can all stand on their own and have their own strengths but are better with their brothers. Also for once THEY'RE NOT CONSTANTLY PICKING ON MIKEY! He's an artistic and creative sunbeam that isn't looked down on by his brothers, it's such a refreshing and healthy take on his relationship with his brothers. I'm not a fan of what I've seen of Splinter so far, but it is a fresh take on him and we don't know his whole story so far so that just leaves room for a lot of character growth. I absolutely adore April in this show, for once there's not some ulterior reason for why she's with the turtles like having to find her dad or being a reporter, her personality matches with the turtles and you can see why they'd all be friends. Finally, one of my absolute favorite things about this show: they're not perfectly trained ninjas yet. It's called RISE of the teenage mutant ninja turtles, we get to SEE them become awesome ninjas. Right now they have minimal training and are just doing their best so throughout the show, we'll see them grow, which I absolutely love. In all, this show is amazing; the animation is great, the characters are amazing and have so much room for growth, and the story line is interesting. I can't wait to watch more!
