Watch the first episode then decide whether or not you want to continue watching. I watched the original La Casa de Papel and loved every single episode so I had high expectations going into the SK adaptation. Personally, after watching the first episode of the SK version, I was quite bored. SPOILER: the first episode is mostly the exact same as the original. In addition, this may just be a personal thing, but I felt like there was no chemistry between the characters in the SK version. I don't know, everything felt off.. Also, there is a lack of music or ambiance. I don't know how to describe it but with the original, the music gave a really climactic feel to the show while in the SK version it was very anti-climactic. But again I can't help but compare the original version with the SK version. So if you are going to watch the SK version with no prior knowledge of the original, by all means, go for it.

I am not one to watch animes involving robots, but man the voice acting, storyline, animation, and romance had me till the very end. Darling in the Franxx has only 24 episodes and yet the story progression and character development have surpassed every anime that has 5+ seasons. If you ever find yourself looking for a good anime to watch, DEFINITELY WATCH THIS ANIME.
