I had such high hopes for this season and after the first couple of episodes the wheels totally fell off the wagon. Maybe I was unaware this was planned as the last season (was it?), but when Alan Arkin was written out of the show it took a massive dump. The addition of Kathleen Turner was just odd and creepy. It seemed as if they suddenly decided two episodes from the end that they were not renewing for another season and had to wrap everything up. The manner in which they did so was just bazaar and the time jumps in the script made no sense without any story development along the way. A sad and sudden demise for a show that took a few episodes to get into its rhythm and then just self destructed mid-way into the final season.
