I would really love to give this, Netflix's 2020 Christmas Movie, 5 stars but there's glaring problem for me personally. The acting is great, the set pieces and special effects are faultless but the songs, in my opinion amateur opinion, are just not strong enough and are too lazy. I feel if the songs, of which there are short renditions and 4 min odd long ones, we're a hit more punchy and with some meaning, it would have made this film more watchable. Tbh I slipped all the songs because for me they were not Christmassy and maybe that's my fault. I still give it 4 stars though because that was just one issue. Everything else for me fine and the acting is first class. Great to see Forrest Whittaker in the main role too.

I would have loved to have given this 5 stars ✨ however the only issue with it is the voice acting from the white actors (no racism intended). There voices are dubbed by Indian speaking actors' voices are and I find it frustrating because they could have simply used the actors own voices. Apart from that, it's beautifully shot and tells a long epic story over 65 episodes which are around 25 mins long. Some of the individual stories are fictionalised but nonetheless it's a must see story if you are interested in the history 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽💯

MUST WATCH 👍🏽 👍🏽 👍🏽 I have watched this film every Xmas time for the last 15 years and it never surprises how great the writing, storyline and meaning of the film is. Jimmy Stewart is a legend and all the supporting cast play their respective parts brilliantly. Theres a great meaning to this film and the fact it's s Xmas based makes it even more blessed 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

An amazing documentary / film on Netflix. With so many films and programmes on My List I almost deleted this but because Octopus have fascinated me for so long, I decided to start watching. I was hooked within a few minutes. So educational and thrilling but also thoroughly entertaining to watch. I am so glad that I didn't delete this and watched it to the end. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽🔝🔝🔝

For me the film gets 4 stars not 5. Though I love watching all genres of films and don't really nit pick on things which may give bad reviews for others. The film starts off great with an original storyline ... African immigrants land and settle on an English council estate and financially rationed and you get to see their transition into living in this country. The film has some clever scenes, scary and emotional but towards the end it starts to go down the fantasy route which, unfortunately I have seen too many times with other horror films and this tends to spoil the horror-ness of it all. I feel the last quarter of the film should have been more grittier, jump scares and if this was done I think it could have been a better film. Saying that though, it was still enjoyable to watch and definitely wasn't a waste 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

I've watched the first 2 seasons via Netflix and awaiting the 3rd season to be available. I'm blown away by the acting, storyline and effects. The storyline is very enjoyable and addictive which harks similarities with, say, The Walking Dead with it being a post apocalyptic series but IMO TWD has gone one too long but this seems a much fresj approach to that genre but with a completely different hook 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽💯

Such a complicated TV series to watch going back in time and then into the future and then, again, further back into time which is a race to stop time travel and all the different diverse characters and families that form due to this. I watched the first half in the original German audio with English subtitles and then changed the audio to English. A great series and brilliant writing which makes for compelling viewing.
