Putting aside Crichton's debunking of Climate change (if one can, considering how focused the book is on dispelling perceived scientific myth making about Global Warming, precipitation of catastrophic events etc)
This is a badly written book, with paper thin characters, with a plotline at times just ludicrous, even by the standards of airport pulp fiction.
What I find most laughable is the force for good, working for some mysterious government agency and his Nepalese sidekick, enlist a Lawyer
A lawyer! and two personal assistants (both beautiful and female of course)
to fight it out with the baddies (eco terrorists) in Antarctica and the Solomon islands, of course there are cannibals and a crocodile.
This one needs to be recycled immediately, only fit reading for Lawyers.
