I found all the getting real close and giving some homespun heartfelt encouragement and advice effective about the first 20 times this film depicted it. The next 40 times was just overkill. “Ice merchants” was an artful and lovely film about grief and loss. “My year of Dicks” was fun, real & eyepopping with a great message for young people looking for relationships. I’d have gone with either of those. I like friendship and caring and the power of love as much as anybody, yet this film brought out the cynic in me. It was as if an artificial intelligence was tasked with understanding and depicting human emotional wisdom and went for quantity instead of quality. The characters were not developed and, though nice to look at, this film was just embarrassing to watch.
