Itโs been a long while that a movie touched me the way โBelfastโ did. Stellar performances, cinematography, screenplay, direction and soundtrack. I left the theatre yearning for a โsimplerโ time, which sounds odd, considering the film is set during โThe Troublesโ which brought such violence, sadness and strife to Northern Ireland. But, the juxtaposition of a family dealing with their own struggles, had you somehow coming away from it, feeling hope for all.
