A very good portrait of this amazing jazz trumpet player and vocalist. I actually met Chet Baker in a Manhattan jazz club in the late 1970’s . We shook hands before he sang and played with the house band. I have all his albums and cds . This was a thoughtful well done showing of a talented tragic Jazz figure. If you see photos of young Chet before his addictions and the Chet I met in Manhattan you would become very Sad.

It could have been a good movie if the script and actors were better. Everyone acted like they were reading their lines from cue cards It really was kinda confusing silly movie

A wonderful detective series in the style of Film Noir mystery. Dark shadows dim lighting shady characters. Great story lines and Peter is So Cool. A added plus is the Great Jazz soundtrack and guest artists. I have the dvd collection

I really enjoyed this movie It’s a weird crime mystery movie but holds your interest. Vince Edwards is very cunning cool and strange. But a interesting character. Good story line and acting

I always loved watching this fine movie. It is not only an adventure movie. It is an awesome study of individual characters. EVERYONE is great in this movie especially Mr Stewart. What an amazing creative actor he was from a young actor throughout his life. I never get tired of watching this movie. The later remake doesn’t compare to this original because of the quality of Acting in the 1965 original

I really enjoyed this movie. Especially the camera work and filmography. The story line of an almost impossible mission was also interesting. The Energy levels of the two main stars were amazing. continuous movement without rest or food However it’s really a story of loyalty friendship and brotherly love. I really was fascinated by the filming techniques because I felt that I was on the journey with the two main soldiers. It also made a great statement about the costs and waste that Wars bring to society

It could have been much better but it seemed to drag on. Plot not that believable. Stiff acting I would not recommend this movie

I really enjoyed this movie. And it’s some of the best acting The two stars had ever done The storyline and performances make it a very worthwhile movie to watch and put into your collection

I loved this movie. It was creative and sensitive. I also feel that it’s the best movie Jeffrey Hunter had done . He was so underrated as an actor. And it was sad to see his career decline prior to his early death . He also played a career marine in a movie he did with Robert Wagner and Bradford Dillman that I can’t recall the name . Check out his performance in an episode of Combat with Vic Morrow. He played a Tank Sergeant who had been studying to be a Priest before the war. He is conflicted because he has killed so many in his role as a Sergeant which goes against the teachings of the Church. Another wonderful performance

The original with Mr Caan was better This new version has too much unnecessary talk. It does effectively show the problems compulsive behavior can do to a person’s life. I just don’t think much of this remake effort
