Looking for something a little different with a touch of excitement and bewilderment at the same time, then this is a book for you. The narrative jogs a long at a nice pace and you almost feel that you are inside this great mammal. I gave it to my 20 year old who hasn’t read a book in years and he couldn’t put it down.

If you haven’t already read this book, then make it a must for 2024. I read this beauty of a book at least six months ago and it still resonates with me.

I will pass this book on to my 22 year old daughter to read for all the right reasons. Thank you Anna Funder for providing such a thought provoking and entertaining insight into the brilliant mind and stoicism of this remarkable woman.
