Most of the complaints about this I've seen stem from nitpicking over powers (one literally questioned the blood control like superpowers are real) or a general dislike of teen dramas. The only valid drawback I think may be present is a lack of explanation over the source of their powers (plus vought/superhero scene in general), but that's presuming that's all meant to be common knowledge and not revealed as the characters learn the truth - particularly as we see the lead gradually discover that superheros aren't really heroes. Otherwise this is exactly what you would expect and hope for from a school/teen centred drama that involves superpowers and unscrupulous adults seeking to exploit them. I for one am enoying it for what it is and don't need something more than a show full of people clearly enjoying themselves.
