Decent enough watch if a little convoluted at times. My main issue with it is that it’s set in the lead up to Christmas, when it was clearly filmed in the spring. The trees are green with leaves, the sun is shining brightly. Christmas itself had little to do with the plot so I wonder why they did it. When the story moved through the months to April, it’s clearly autumn. That aside, the very stereotypical portrayal of Polish builders is lazy at best.

Considering all of the accolades this show has I was expecting something at least good. It seems as if the writers, producers, directors have never actually seen or bothered to research the game they’re making a show about. The fact that it’s based on a Premier League team but they’ve used a non-league team’s ground for filming sums this all up. I actually found the Amazon prime documentary about Tottenham funnier, and that’s not billed as a comedy. It’s just lazy, the actors are doing their best, but it’s lazily made and lazily produced.

It’s so bad, with some genuinely good actors, that it’s worth watching if only for comedic value. Nothing makes sense and I’d love to know where in England this is set. Don’t miss It! EDIT it’s seriously so bad that it needs to be watched. Someone had edited this, it was directed, produced and this is the best they came up with. It should give anyone hope of making it as an actor
