I have watched this masterpiece earlier some 7 to 8 years back, I can't remember the actual date. It was suggested by me from one of my student. As soon as I started watching this drama, I got to know that, this show is more relative to me in a sense that it was the story of Lahore and Balgan (Sialkot). For those who don't know, Sialkot is my hometown. The story embarked with the same aura which I used to witness during my initial visits to Sialkot ~ similar ambiance of people just as in a typical punjabi family.
I am in deep love and touched by the story and its music. I adored the music played in the second episode when Dr. Maqsood first and then Khalil and his mother crossed the railway lines in order to attend a family wedding in tooti chak. I just got to know that Dr. Maqsood have died some two years ago.. my heart goes to him. A friend like Dr. Maqsood was a gem indeed!
The story then went into a deep emotional drama with the nuts of love, affection, inter-relation complexities, jealousy, revenge. This drama brought a fine example of portraying a harsh reality of society. All the cast and crew have worked phenomenally to look surreal.
Even now, I just finished the last episode I don't know how many times I have seen this episode and I am literally crying. I am crying like cats and dogs.
I wished Khalil-ur-rehman all the very best and to me, Shanoo (the real one) deserves all the appreciation. My respect and deep respect to her and Khalil Sahab. Absolutely loved it! Sadqay Tumhare!
