Love this series because Jean Smart makes it happen. She makes Deborah Vance the right combination of bawdy, strong, independent self made comedienne but lets her vulnerable side be exposed at just the right times and in the right measure. Ava is a fantastic alter ego to her past and future while living through her present. Wonderful cast coupled with smart fresh writing makes for a hit show! Can't wait for S2.
