I could go on for ages about how disappointed I was in this film, but I won't. I don't see the point. Those of us who understand the first of these Joker movies will know what I mean and those of you who don't, won't. In a nutshell, I thought this movie was plotless and unnecessarily brutal. I don't want to detract from the great acting performances and my review says nothing about them, it is merely a reflection on the movie itself. If I had more faith in the justice system (which I don't because I've been treated so badly in courts) I would even suggest that Joaquin Phoenix should sue, because of the way this movie may affect his career, but I won't say that and I'll stop writing now before I say what I really want to say...

Brilliant. Genius. Beautiful music score.

I loved this movie, although I usually hate horror movies. The plot line of a boy being trapped in a room with a working phone would normally seem cheesy but it really worked, and was believable. There was too much gore for me but the incredible editing and direction made up for it. I thought the soundtrack was great, but that the people who made the movie just didn't capitalise on it enough so that's why I only gave it a four star review.
