It is anti-Catholic. The very first page mocks the "Apostles Creed," which is the summary of what it is to be Catholic. The author ridicules Catholic priests and nuns. The book distorts Catholic theology. If the author had used a Jewish school as a background instead and then talked about the Jewish faith and Jewish people in this same way, then this book would have been classified as a "hate" book. Not funny. She crossed the line. The author also uses a lot of really profane language. I am sure this sells more books in its targeted youth readership, but is this really best practice?
