Mature,serious movie, maybe a touch long but Ralph Fiennes , as usual, is excellent and carries the movie . I agree the setting and filming really adds to the quality of the movie . Solid 4 star production!

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie . Unaware of the findings at Sutton Hoo , it’s rather astonishing. But the movie works at a more emotional level and the acting of the lead characters and the setting makes it very watchable.

A fun read. Pretty quick to get through but not a page turner till the end. It seems that at every fork in the road they go in a different direction which makes it fun and unpredictable.The characters are imaginative but not excessive which makes it easier to follow. It starts off straight forwardly and is easy to pick up. Enjoy - it’s worth the time
P.S. if I had my choice between this or Gentleman in Moscow, I read this ( but I may be in the minority)
