I bought The Painted House in the 1980s, it is wonderful , spectacular designs and work, I became interested in Graham Rust work, when I visited Ragley Hall, in Warwickshire, the Halls murals are magnificent, the publication is a delight

This was a marvellous series regarding an everyday story of boating folk, it was well acted, wonderful to look at, except for the shoulder pads, it always left you with a cliffhanger and at times wondering if you had missed an episode, with conspicuous consumption and the love of money at its heart, a sign of the times in the eighties, felt quite bereft when it ended
