Still reeling from double tragedies, Dave and the Foos crafted possibly their best album in years. Which is a feat since they don't have any bad albums in my opinion. Taylor's spirit is present throughout these 10 tracks. From tragedy can arise beauty and hope as the Foos demonstrate, especially on tracks like Show Me How (a duet with daughter Violet, who is amazing) Beyond Me and Hearing Voices. But it's the final track Rest that broke my heart in half. Haunting, ethereal, and yes, growth from out of the ashes is the message.
