I went to see Civil War tonight with my friends and man this movie was amazing! It was compelling from start to finish. It has it's intense scenes that had me squirming and thinking, is this real? The acting was phenomenal by everybody. There is so much character development. This movie was just so intense it literally made my jaw drop. This movie was very emotional at times and had moments where I was feeling squeamish. But hands down this movie is a 10/10 without a doubt. Best movie of 2024.

Sting, Sting, Sting... No wonder it's already leaving theaters. This movie was a big waste of time and money. I couldn't stand the acting and everything about it. Ngl the plot was intriguing but they whiffed on the story with awful execution. This movie had great potential but they failed to knock it hard with the acting, the timing, the unrealism and sick jokes that this movie had traumatized me with mentally! This movie literally made me lose brain cells. The antagonist is a big venomous spider who eats living creatures like birds, dog's, insects, cats, and of course humans. And apparently the Spider has more brain cells than the humans defending themselves from the spider. The spider would literally trap it's human victims in big spider Webs and eat it's victims alive, absolutely grotesque, luckily they didn't show the deaths in too much detail to the point where the whole thing was close up shot. And they never even explain how the spider grew that much overnight to turn into the giant monster that it became. I swear, a 12 year old must've wrote this script. One of the most unintelligent movies I've ever seen. For real, whoever wrote this script had no idea what they were doing. I mean, hahahaha... What were they doing?

Monkey Man is just fantastic! This movie gave me the chills from start to finish. Dev Patel was incredible and the action was great. In fact this movie had the best action sequences I've ever seen on the big screen. I always love Revenge stories but this one is something special as it successful tugs on the heart strings of everyone while also being epic with its action. 10/10, better than John Wick.

The First Omen was a really good movie. I gotta admit it was pretty slow throughout the first quarter of the movie but then it got really interesting really fast. I was on the edge of my seat throughout the entire rest of the movie. This movie captivated me unlike most horror I've ever seen. I gotta admit this movie was not as scary as I suspected it was going to be walking in to the theater, but that doesn't take away from suspense and psychological horror that this movie delivered. Incredible visuals as well. I thought the acting in this movie was just above average but I was still entertained by this movie. I feel like this pacing could've been better, It didn't have to be as slow as the beginning but once you get through the first half hour it becomes riveting and the story becomes 10 times more interesting.

I had a lot of hope for this movie being really good, sadly it failed to live up to my expectations. Sean Penn with yet another astounding performance, and Tye Sheridan who is a phenomenal young actor still in the early stages of his career performed incredible in this film. About 45 minutes into the movie I started to get bored because of how repetitive it was. I feel like their was very little character development if any. And the scenes with Ollie Cross (Tye Sheridan) and his girlfriend were so dumb because his girlfriend wouldn't even be in the movie if it wasn't for her to get naked on screen. Literally every scene she was in was a sex scene, and she was in about 5 scenes. So that's just crazy. If it weren't for the incredible performances by the stars of this film (Sean Penn) and (Tye Sheridan) this movie would be a 1 star. I was entertained part of the time but overall this movie had a good idea but just failed to execute on almost every level. The only reason you should think about spending your money in theaters is to see two amazing actors give stellar performances. They did the best they could've done with what they got, but what they got was not even close to enough. 3.5/10

One of the worst movies I’ve ever seen. I went to see this with my family and my entire family thought the same. I would not waste your money on this movie, I mean if you could even call it that. Honest to god there was no plot. It was just a bunch of action sequences and chase scenes mixed with corny and unfunny bad jokes. I honestly don’t know how this got a 68 on rotten tomatoes and a 89 on audience. It was so bad I even left the theater 1 hr into it. I came back an hour later and it was still on. I watched the last half hour with my family and I couldn’t help but laugh at the acting of the daughter and the dialogue. I’d give it a 2/100 and the only reason I would give it that high a rating is because it was kinda nice to witness the war first hand.

Jason Statham is an absolute superstar when it comes to the genre of action no doubt about. Overall though this movie was kinda average. I loved how it started out with Arthur (Jason Statham) drowning that guy in the pool by surprise and got the money. That was a pretty cool beginning. However as time went on ever since Arthur (Jason Statham) murdered Steve McKenna’s father in the wheel chair which left a sour taste in my mouth. I lost a lot of respect for Jason’s character after that. Ben Fosters character grew on my over time and I think they cast Ben Foster perfectly for that role. Everyone casted in this movie did a superb job at their role. However I lost more and more respect for Arthur as he continued to lie to Steve’s face even until Steve eventually found the gun that was used to kill his father at Arthur’s place. I won’t spoil the ending but let’s just say it left me with a sour taste in my mouth. Overall this movie is hella brutal, sometimes fun, but disappointing. The acting is great, but I’m not that fond of the characters. Especially Jason’s character who’s Arthur. Recommended score: 4.5/10.
