It's pleasantly surprising that this TV series fully encompasses the entire Child's Play movie history into it, And they pay a lot of attention to paying homage to what came before as well as the attention to detail for continuity's sake. They also touch on a lot of deeper family and social topics than the movies ever could.... And they seem to seamlessly do it without sacrificing the horror aspect of the Child's Play theme. It's perfectly twisted the way they get you emotionally involved by fleshing out all these characters in the show, right before Chucky brutally dispenses of them, lol.... This always keeps the audience on their toes, because you can never predict what's going to happen each episode.
They also did great to capture the young audiences with the middle school teenagers that the stories revolve around (Lexi is the best btw, a true antihero), And they do a good job of bringing all the old characters back, and plenty of flashbacks and prequel-type material to make the '90s kids and older fans happy as well... It's quite masterful to be honest and well filmed, well acted, and directed, and each episode's customized title sequences are really a nice touch too... And of course, Brad Dourif brings it all together with his iconic and sadistically perfect voice acting. I bet he never could have imagined in his wildest dreams, that all of this work with the movies and shows and paraphernalia would have led to all this when he signed his contract to do the original Child's Play.. life is wild and It's great he's made the most of it.
