The characters who appear to be criminals on the episodes are mostly based on a certain gender which is the male gender .During the time of release of the film it would be understandable that the criminal justice and its departments were still evolving to catch up with the 20th century .Many philosophers have written about crime and at times others would say that crime was committed by a certain groups of people according to their ancestral backgrounds this theory might be proven to be true because most gangs are run in the family and they tend to pass it from generation to another. The idea of labelling men as the only people capable of committing crimes is a bias that started long ago even before Christ.For instance the bible says that Jesus was crucified with two male thieves a theory that all Christians believe and which is okay since everyone has a right to choose what religion to follow or not to. If criminologists were to look deeper into crime and women the proportion would be higher than that of male because women are likely to be at the center of every crime committed and at times the masterminds of every crime .Therefore we should not come to the assumption that only men can commit crimes it is a divided situation driven by different motives. The series shows serial killers to be male oppressors while the females and young children to be the victims .It does not portray a clear image of the world and technology we are living in now where anyone can commit a crime be it a child or grown up .During the stone age men would have been seen as evil because of whatever they did .According to the new generation women can also be serial killers and even the children .Such cases are seen to be rare because most of the cases are from traumatic victims who takes pleasure in doing what was done to them to others . In conclusion crime does not have a gender or age any person can commit any crime according to their motives .I would confidently argue that crime is not for a particular gender or a group of certain people .Some criminals are born others are made .According to Lambro’s theory ,born criminals have certain characteristics like protruding jaws,big foreheads and so much more.That theory would not be convenient in the world we are living in now because the criminals we have now are learned and smart .They have special skills and tools to commit their crimes and even get away with it.When we are dealing with this kind of criminals we also need to be smarter and knowledgeable,an advanced technology of combating crimes should also be a priority so that we can be always ahead of crime and criminals ,hence having the criminal minds. NB: According to the criminal minds series, 80% of the crimes are committed by the male gender while the remaining 20% is that of the females.That is where contrast comes in to show that anyone can commit a crime whether male or female.
