Brian Salisbury

This movie has great acting in the most part and great cinematography. However this movie, based on a novel, is about as stupid as they come. Whoever cast Larry Hagman in this movie, should have been given the same fate as Duvall at the end. I can see why his career was mainly doing television. I did like J.R. though. The consistently ridiculous scenarios, made watching this movie painful. I was fortunate I never paid to see this in the movie theatre. I watched it in its entirety for the first time on the movie channel. Thank for that, as it enabled me to leave the room to take numerous breaks, thank God.
