It's unfortunate and a little surprising that there are so many 1 star reviews. But I'm also not surprised that a female led cast, and two of them of color, is receiving so much negativity and hate despite being a pretty solid, fun movie. It's a good time that doesn't take itself too serious and has some pretty badass fight scenes. Despite a little confusion around their powers, everybody does such a great job. Brie Larson was sort of a bore in the first Captain Marvel and she's stepped her game up this time. Teyonah Paris is an All Star and Iman Vellani is hilarious. It really is an overall fun movie and I wouldn't mind paying to go see it again in theaters.
