Just watched it on Netflix. Disappointing and grossly overhyped and overrated by many viewers (jumping on the bandwagon?). Nothing new here, very similar in plot to Ip 2, which was not a good film either and trying unsuccessfully to recreate credible emotional content that Ip 3 was praised for. This is better than ip 2 despite the similarities, but that’s not saying too much. This one is predictable and uninspiring and the dubbing is horrible (bring back subtitles ffs). A nice flashback to the other films at the end only helped remind me how much better Ip Man 1 was. Glad I watched it, just to be able to complete and compare the quadrilogy, but glad it’s over and glad I didn’t pay to see it.
