So this movie is centered around the titular character, WALL-E [short for “Waste Allocation Load-Lifter: Earth Class”], who is the last robot on a now destroyed Earth. He spends all his days tidying up the remaining waste and debris on the planet, one piece of garbage at a time. But after over 700 years of nonstop cleaning he develops a whole new personality: feeling more than just a little alone. That’s when he spots EVE, a sleek and shapely probe sent back to Earth on a mission to scan for any remaining signs of life. WALL-E falls madly in love with her at first sight, and embarks on his greatest adventure yet as he follows her across the galaxy.
Although it has been like over 8 years since I last watched it, it NEVER left my mind. Partly because of its message: "Focus on protecting our Earth while we still have it", and partly because of WALL-EVE [I shipped them SO HARD as a kid and I STILL do 😂]. I LIVE for their romance and the last scene where WALL-E doesn't remember who she is broke me into pieces, plus another scene where the captain stands up to Auto was A HUGE YES.
Also "EVA?" STILL makes me giggle to this day 🤭
An absolute MASTERPIECE of a film. Would recommend to my future friends!
