Dear Mr. Carlson, I watch your program often and applaud your bravery. I suggest you investigate how the IRS handles some cases involving illegal aliens (aka "undocumented immigrants") who receive health care from Uncle Sugar. Anyone with internet access can visit IRS.gov and look up Publication 974. Within it I find a paragraph entitled "Individuals Not Lawfully Present in the United States Enrolled in a Qualified Health Plan." It describes how low income people, or their relatives who are here illegally, may receive a refundable Premium Tax Credit (PTC) on their federal tax returns. It also tells people who are here illegally that they must pay back money they have illegally received from government programs. Perhaps, the IRS expects these people to bring checks to future court appearances they never intend to keep. Our Congress must have had to pass this before they could read it.
